If flesh reflected mind
my body would be torn,
sundered, shredded.
A hundred pieces
of muscle and bone
scattered in the room.
If flesh reflected heart
i would be ashes long
burnt, encased in ice
constantly
freezing and unthawing,
perpetuating my
annihilation
If flesh reflected pain
I would be numb,
constant agony overwhelming
thousands of nerves,
overloaded to the point
of paralysis
If flesh reflected love
I would be blood
and bloodless,
ever loving
and bleeding love lost
to distance and time |
